This morning, I had an incredible opportunity to serve as a speaker for The Coast Patrol during a live TV broadcast. Despite feeling a bit nervous, I believe the reason it appeared so natural and relaxed is because it is an absolute privilege to represent such an inspiring operation, organization, and an amazing group of individuals.
Together with the dedicated volunteers of The Coast Patrol we successfully removed nearly 10 tons of garbage, predominantly old tires, from the gulf of Eilat. These tires, once serving as fenders for boats and piers, had sunk to the seabed years ago and remained there, harming the precious marine ecosystem of the unique Eilat coral reef. Through years of decomposition, the rubber began leaching into the water. but now, once we’ve pulled them out they will be recycled for future use!
